How you can Help

Support our shelter every time you make a purchase on Amazon.com.  Go to AmazonSmile.com and choose Pets for Seniors from their list.  You can also support us by purchasing supplies and food from our Amazon wish list.  See the links on the Link Page.

Sponsor an adoption. You can sponsor all or part of an adoption with a donation of $25.00, $50.00, or $75.00. This is a great gift for the animal lover who has everything! Your gift receiver will be sent a picture of the adopting member and the pet whose adoption you helped make possible, as well as a history of the animal. Include your address and, if a gift, the full name and address of the recipient of your gift. You may not hear from us for a short while until a match is made, but we’ll keep you posted.

Send your request to:

Pets for Seniors, P.O. Box 9486, Peoria, IL 61612. Please include your phone number with area code in case we have a question!

Give a donation to the Emergency Fund. This fund is being set up so that someday our senior adopters can get help with unexpected emergency situations that may arise with their pets. If you wish to donate to this fund, please specify “Emergency Fund” on your check.

Give a small donation. Big ones are nice, but the smaller ones help keep us alive! Any amount is appreciated!

Send a memorial donation in the name of a person or pet that has passed away. Include the address of the person to whom you’d like our acknowledgment card sent. The memorial will be printed in the newsletter.

Remember us in your will. Give someone else the gift of a pet to love.

Donate items that we can give to our new adopters to help get them off to a good start. most needed items are: cat or small dog carriers, flea preventatives for dogs under 10, 25, or 35 lbs (pill or topical). Flea preventatives for cat under 10 or 15 lbs. (Although all cats adopted are inside animals, occasionally they will come from a shelter with fleas, or just needing a second dose next month).  Also: Heart worm preventatives for dogs under 10, 25, and 35 lbs.

If you can’t help us out – don’t worry!  In fact, one of the best ways that you can help is by telling people about us!
