Pets for Seniors’ DBA Forever Home Resale Shop
In September of 2017 we opened a resale shop to help increase revenue for our shelter. We were prompted to do this after hearing that there was a resale shop doing this in Princeton, IL. for their community shelter. We formed a Steering Committee to benchmark other resale and thrift shops. In August of 2017 we found our location at the Sterling Plaza. Our shop is staffed completely by volunteers and we are open Wednesdays through Saturdays. All items in our shop are donated and are always appreciated. Our manager comes to us with many years of retail and resale shop experience! After our expenses, all profits go to help fund our shelter’s operating budget.
Pets for Seniors is an organization that matches older pets with people over age 60. Our Pets for Saving program is open to pets and people of all ages.
